SOUNDSCAPES AND VIDEO WORKS FROM THE MOSSES AND MARSHES PROJECT, ALSO EXHIBITING AS MOSSES AND MARSHES
MOSSES AND MARSHES, the exhibition, is the result of a three-year project by Kim V. Goldsmith (AU) and Andrew Howe (UK), spanning two countries, both with Ramsar listed wetlands of international importance — the Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses (UK) and Macquarie Marshes (Australia). The collaboration brought together artists, land managers and scientists to reimagine the future of these landscapes and the place they have in our communities, reflecting local differences and shared global challenges for these fragile environments.

This page is also home to the soundscapes and other works that form part of the MOSSES AND MARSHES exhibition. It is a place to bookmark and return to when you feel the need to sit quietly and listen to the silences, the songs, and the hidden narratives of the wetlands.
The Sonic Stories of the Wetlands playlist is on Soundcloud. These tracks are best listened to with headphones or earbuds and a mid-range volume.
Experience the Macquarie Marshes in person by joining the sound walk on 20 & 21 May. Details on the ecoWALK page.
